Study Material For Cisco Ccna Ccnp And Ccie Students

Cisco Certified Network Associate

CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) is a certification provided by the company Cisco Systems to individuals who have rendered the corresponding exam successfully on Internet and network infrastructure. It is aimed at professionals operating networking equipment. Another way to get CCNA certification is through official Cisco course with the same name, featured on Cisco networking academies worldwide, divided into four modules, and lasts about two years.
There are different levels of certification in the operating line, recently launched a certification from technical and professional level concentrations calls and so far only concentrations wireless networks, voice over IP and security but they are all CCNA level, ie one can be certified as CCNA wireless networks for example. The next level is the CCNP ("Cisco Certified Network Professional").
CCNA Certification Examination

CCNA certification exams are offered worldwide through Pearson VUE certification. On the Web (http://www.pearsonvue.com/) can be found Authorized Assessment Centres for each country, the current exam code is 640-802.
To take the CCNA certification exam, requires knowledge of the following areas:
OSI model and layered communication.
Routed Protocols.
Enrutación protocols.
WAN services.
Network Administration.
LAN technologies.
To view the current requirements, and more detailed, visit Cisco Systems.
CCNA Cisco Networking Academy

A typical Cisco Academy boratoriode incorporates the practices that includes a topology 3 Cisco routers connected in series (previous versions used in 5-router topology) and these in turn are connected by an ethernet port (Fastethernet) to a cisco switch; with this topology are all kinds of connecting and setting practices. During the first semester, the students assembled, tested and used network cables following the standards for different types of existing wiring.
Classes are held online via a network connection program in which tests are also evaluated on periodic score. At the same time, a number of qualified instructors, are responsible for providing lessons and exercises provide students with practical and password recovery and configuration of VLANs and ACLs among others. Students also receive a software that emulates the lab topology so they can practice and become familiar with the configuration commands at home. The minimum score required to pass each exam is 70% and some tests include laboratory tests. Note that by the final exam must be designed and present a project that fully computerized 3 buildings are linked together to form a WAN with scalability to 10 years. The course consists of 4 semesters and upon completion, the student must be able to implement all kinds of network topologies using protocols such as TCP / IP, RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, DHCP, TFTP, use switches, hubs, etc. as well as have extensive knowledge of the IOS operating system and network layers of the OSI reference model.
The main themes of the four semesters are:
First semester: Introduction to networks. (This semester is the semester theory).
Second semester: Introduction to routing (routers).
Third semester: intermediate routing / switching (switching).
Fourth semester: Theory WANs.
An alternative way to prepare before attempting certification exam, are called Learning Partners that have higher demands for their instructors but cost much more and are shorter than regular courses at the Academies.
Cisco Certified Network Professional

CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) is the intermediate level certification company. To obtain this certification, have to overcome several tests, classified by the company in 3 modules.
This certification is the intermediate general Cisco certification is not as valued as the CCIE, but, much more than the CCNA.
There is also a preparatory course of the same name, featured on Cisco networking academies where they often provide CCNP modules. Version 5.0 is in force since 2006 about the previous (version 3.0), included these modules:
Routing (BSCI) "Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks"
Switching (BCMSN) "Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks"
Remote Access (BCRAN) "Building Cisco Remote Access Networks"
Troubleshooting (CIT) "Cisco Internetwork Troubleshooting"
In the latest version, in addition to modifying certain agenda in the routing module (BSCI exam) and switching module (BCMSN exam) and substituted 2 modules / tests: BCRAM by ICSW and the ONT CIT dealing specific remote access technologies, multiservice switch configuration and service quality. In all modules of version 5.0 emphasizes security and the technologies that Cisco offers to mitigate or contain basic security risks in switches and routers.
Whereupon, the necessary exams to obtain the CCNP currently are:
Routing (BSCI)
Switching (BCMSN)
Access and Security (ISCW)
QoS and network optimization (ONT)
The January 25, 2010 it was announced the upgrade of the agenda (Cisco official announcement) being as follows:
Routing (ROUTE)
Switching (SWITCH)
Troubleshooting (TSHOOT)
While there have been slight changes in the new ROUTE and SWITCH agendas, these are validated by previous BSCI and BCMSN respectively. ISCW and ONT are eliminated, popping the new TSHOOT exam.
Certification Exam [edit]

The CCNP certification exams could be performed virtually worldwide, through Pearson VUE and Prometric companies. Since July 2007, can only be made in Pearson VUE. These same companies also monitor certification exams for other companies, including those of Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Sun Microsystems ... You can search for nearby certification centers on the websites of these two companies (see the Links section, below).
To pass the CCNP certification exam, you need to have a pretty good knowledge in several areas, including:
A good understanding of the seven-layer OSI model and TCP / IP.
Configuring Cisco routers and switches.
Advanced knowledge and configuration of different routing protocols, including RIP v2, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, and IP designed protocols and theory of routing protocols in general, although in recent years, Cisco has focused on IP protocol, due to the tendency of this protocol, we incorporated the study of IP version 6 (IPv6) from Exploration CCNA and BSCI version 4.0. The latest version of the curriculum includes advanced topics like MPLS routing, Multicast routing and filtering / manipulating routing updates.
Knowledge of various technologies and protocols used on networks such as spanning tree, VLANs, VTP Domain, ACLs, HSRP, VRRP, link aggregation with LACP / PAgP, private VLANs, filtering between VLANs.
Theory and practice of quality of service (QoS)
Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) [edit]

The CCDP certification validates an intermediate knowledge level network design. CCNA and CCDA certifications are required valid for CCDP certification. There are two common exams (642-901 BSCI & 642-812 BCMSN) between CCDP and CCNP certification which allows a person certified CCNP CCDA and CCDP certification with only one additional test (642-873 ARCH).
Certification Exam

Required Exams:
642-901 BSCI: Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (BSCI)
642-812 BCMSN: Building Cisco Multilayer Switched Networks (BCMSN)
642-873 ARCH: Designing Cisco Network Service Architecture
642-892 Composite (BSCI and BCMSN)
642-873 ARCH: Designing Cisco Network Service Architecture
Cisco Certified Internet Expert [edit]

The Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) Cisco is the highest level of professional certification
CCIE

CCIE is an advanced level certification for professionals who have "the training, experience and confidence to tackle the most challenging of his field." The CCIE "certifies skills and networking of an individual in the level expert. "CCIE is a separate program that, until early 2009, did not have a formal training program. To certify the expert level certification is not a prerequisite to have other levels (CCNA, CCNP or equivalent), but having a Cisco certification advanced level, such comoCCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional) , CCIP (Cisco Certified Internet Professional), or CCSP (Cisco Certified Security Professional) are desirable before taking the CCIE.
Themed CCIE

The CCIE was established in 1993 and is the top level certification from Cisco career. As of January 2009, there are six themed available CCIE:
CCIE Service Provider
CCIE Routing and Switching
CCIE Security
CCIE Voice
CCIE Storage Technologies
CCIE Wireless Technologies
Evaluation

Each of these requires the candidate "written pass a qualifying exam and a practical test in the laboratory that demonstrate the candidate's expertise in configuring, testing and troubleshooting real team." In terms of recertification, "CCIEs required to pass a written examination within the period of 24 months immediately before his current term recertification. Tests approved after this date will not count towards your recertification requirement.
If a test is not passed within this period, a CCIE is put in a suspended state. Note that in the June 15 continued the use of specific tests recertification, and instead allow a passing grade on CCIE written exams any of the available currently satisfies the requirement for recertification. "

The areas of work of people who want this certification include: network architect, network engineer, infrastructure engineer, infrastructure and specialist.
